Becoming exists to help individuals who are at a crossroads in their lives- whether due to a health diagnosis, a career change, or any major life transition. My approach is centered around providing personalized coaching and wellness strategies that empower people to navigate these changes with confidence, clarity, and purpose. Dragonfly. Why is it symbolic of change?

Dragonflies are symbols of change and transformation. During their natural metamorphosis from aquatic nymphs to airborne adults, they demonstrate they are adept at changing from one thing to another, mirroring personal growth and development. 

​

They represent self-realization, mental and emotional maturity, and the ability to move beyond surface-level perceptions to understand the deeper meaning of life. They are associated with the idea of shedding old ways and embracing mature perspectives, understanding life is a multifaceted journey. 

​

The way the dragonfly glides across the water's surface is seen as a symbol of seeking what lies deep beyond the surface. A dive into spiritual and mental exploration to the deeper meaning and purpose in life.

You have a story to tell about how you ended up here, wherever here is. Your story is a  fingerprint of words with twists, and turns that are yours alone. It's in your story that you live and make decisions every day. It's the "Why" behind your decisions and motivations. It's what we tell ourselves and how we manage our lives, and it affects every part of our health & wellness, including but not limited to the desire to lose weight, exercise, go after that long forgotten dream or reestablish a relationship.  Your story can hold you back or propel you forward. The choice is always yours and yours alone.

 

Sometimes you can become stagnant in your story and struggle to figure out the next chapter, or even the next sentence. Feeling lost, uncertain, or stuck is a common condition. Wanting to move forward but not sure how is where we can find ourselves. 

 

Life can throw some curve balls and leave us in an uncertain place. There are times when everything shifts, sometimes of our own doing, and sometimes from things out of our control. But...we do have control of how we walk into our future. Beginning again isn't a bad thing. In fact, it offers freedom to make choices.

The Rewrite is an intentional 12 session package designed for the brave soul standing at the edge of a new beginning, or dealing with the unexpected. This is for the one feeling stuck or lost,  ready to shift their story and step into new chapters. You're no longer where you were but not where you want to be. This package supports deeper transformation, a turning point where you reclaim authorship of your life, gain vision, direction and purpose. With the 12 sessions, you'll receive ongoing email and text support with resources as needed.

One Courageous Chapter is designed for aligned fast action in one key health & wellness area. You know what you want to accomplish but need support, accountability, and a sounding board. One month, one highly focused session a week with email and text support, and needed resources between sessions to keep you moving in the right direction. Bring your story, truth and courage. I'll bring the tools. Let's write this one chapter together. Perfect if you're needing an extra nudge and resolution in the next month.

How long does coaching
take to make a difference?
What can I be coached on?

​

The outcome, although never a guarantee, is up to you. You are the expert of your own life. It's up to you to make a life change, goal, or dream a reality. Three months is the minimum time frame to realistically create sustainable change. 

​

The area of focus depends on you and what is most important right now. We can explore any facet of health and wellness, from big topics to small ideas, even just creating the habit of making your bed. The core areas to consider are: Sleep, Movement, Nutrition, Relationships, Resiliency, Spirituality, Environment, or whatever topic resonates with you. 

​

I've had coaching partners work on cleaning out rooms, creating weekly menus, to getting in more exercise. 

​

What is the difference between coaching and therapy? 

Coaching and therapy have been called cousins. Therapy dives deep into your past, traumas, emotional and mental healing. The education component is also different. We won't ignore your past, the stories that shaped and shape you, but we won't stay there. It's more of a jumping off point. During your Sneak Peek, we can decide if coaching is your best option.

Coaching can take you to the next level in your life. Oftentimes, we get stuck in the change phase of Contemplation, wanting to move forward, but can't seem to budge. Maybe you'd tried to do things on your own, but need accountability and support. Perhaps you don't know where to begin, but know you need to make changes in your life. We'll explore the different core areas of health and narrow it down to what's best right now.

Coaching is effective because we work with the whole person, addressing all core areas that influence your health & wellbeing. Coaches ask powerful questions & facilitate the process to maximize your potential for success. Coaching identifies & articulates your goals & the effective actions to achieve them. Coaches also have a wealth of knowledge in lifestyle & integrative approaches for optimal health & wellbeing.

I'm here to guide you through a process of discovering what's

important to you and why. With a methodically proven coaching

method; we'll walk down a road to holistic health and well-being,

to feel empowered to achieve your self-determined and

self-authored goals.

By cultivating mindfulness and focusing on self-care, a natural

flow of thought and awareness becomes accessible, resulting in

self-discovery and action-oriented processes.

You are comprised of physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, and

relational elements, and each part affects the others. I will work

to help you integrate these parts to create wholeness, not by

telling you what to do or giving advice, but by inviting you to

explore your envisioned life.

I believe in the power of change. Change is not easy, and it's not

linear, but it is possible in a thought-provoking, creative, and

experimental process. I believe that what is within you is stronger

than what is in your way; that you know instinctively what's best

for you. You have an innate healing capacity & intuition that

Through creating visions and setting SMART goals with

accountability, change can be sustainable for good. As your

partner in change, we'll elicit your own motivations and values to

promote growth on every level.

Just like in therapy, a health and wellness coach learns and

applies different methods, theories, and modalities that are

well-established and supported by evidence. Two techniques

are Motivational Interviewing and Appreciative Inquiry,

among others.

At Becoming, I believe that every individual has the power to

become the author of their own story and create a future that aligns with their authentic selves. My mission is to guide

& support people through life's transitions and crossroads,

helping them reclaim control, find clarity, and embrace the opportunities of a fresh start. Whether facing a career change, adjusting to a new health diagnosis, or seeking personal growth after a major life shift, I help individuals reimagine what's possible & step confidently and with clarity, into the next chapter of their journey.

  • Previous background & experience in a health-related field​

  • 250-hour Integrative Health & Lifestyle Program​

  • Completed & passed requirements for coaching program: over 200 hours of training, including 35 hours of face-to-face, faculty- led training & 28 total mentor-supervised practice hours​

  • Rigorous evaluations of live coaching sessions, Motivational Interviewing skills using proven MITI scoring by outside evaluator & documentation of 100 hours of practice coaching sessions. 

  • ​Rigorous studying & passing of the National Board of Health &  Wellness Coaching exam NBHWC
